Curious looking four-foot tall concrete pillars are the goal of many walkers all over Britain. Trig points can found on the highest peaks in the area, reaching them provides many walkers with a fantastic goal, not to mention great views! Created by the Ordnance Survey in 1930s Britain in order to chart the height and shape of this lovely island we call home. Without which we wouldn't have the maps and charts we all rely on today. This image uses a Trig Point in the Peak District National Park as a centre piece, to salute all of the keen walkers that hold such affection for them.
