Artwork Selection:

Left Home Art is all about quality handmade limited edition art. We don't do mass-produced, 'knock-em-out' reproduction prints. We believe in quality not quantity - we recognise you may not have time to sift through 1000s of pretty average prints just to stumble across that one perfect image.

Our Photographers and Artists

Any artist/photographer working with Left Home must produce high-resolution artwork and exercise professional post-production techniques to ensure they pass our exacting quality control tests and maintain these high standards whilst exhibiting with us, after all it's our reputation at stake.

A properly prepared frame helps ensure each piece of limited edition artwork will last a lifetime when treated correctly.

Tapered stretcher bars to protect your art

We always use a lipped profile on our stretcher bars - being tapered ensures the canvas has minimal contact with the frame to prevent undue stress from contact (beware, some producers will cut costs here)

Good wood

We use laminated pine (softwood) for excellent strength and antiwarping. Kiln dried to prevent further warping/twisting as it adjusts to your interior setting (far reduced chance of movement in timber)

Sourced from environmentally friendly plantations/renewable sustainable farms not from rainforests. Remember trees have feelings too!

Wedges - No floppy canvases here!

Canvases can absorb moisture over time and become floppy/wrinkly - you can rest-assured this wont happen to your canvas as we uses nifty little wedges (again something missing on your high street fashion artwork that isn't produced to last). This allows the expandable corners to be tightened up/re-tensioned over time. Show your affection, give it a wedgie!

Printing:

Inks

Using fade-resistant, splashproof and durable, genuine Epson UltraChrome K3 'Archival' inks - you can enjoy 100-200 years of vibrant, bright as new artwork if looked after under optimum conditions

Coupled with an Epson large format inkjet printer it's ' a perfect match' for stable colour and smooth tonal Giclée quality prints

Canvas

We use Premier quality water resistant canvas designed for professional fine art and photographic printing

Further Protection

As canvas art art isn't displayed behind glass we thought it important to protect the print with an extra clear coating - this helps to guard against accidental scratches and staining.

While we use these materials to help ensure you art stays protected, we don't suggest you take them out in the rain or give them a rub down with the dish cloth, after all these are delicate works of art and should be treated as such.

Ready to Hang:

We make sure every canvas comes ready to hang. The hangers (pictured above) allow you greater ability to line up multiple frames when hung together and also allow the canvases to sit flush against the wall.

Aftercare:

Cleaning

Following all Left Home's precautions please remember that any Giclée canvas prints shouldn't be touched on the front where you can help it - give them the love they deserve and treat them well. Any dust should be blown off or if necessary removed with a light feather duster

Sunlight

Don't give them a suntan! No canvas print or framed art original should be kept in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight will rapidly fade the image as the print substrate is broken down. Think about those 'leather look' pensioners who spend too much time on the sunbeds of Benidorm.
